Grants update : Neil Forsythe
Liberti Church has been blessed with a group of gifted preachers , who I ’ ve been able to come alongside and help develop , using the training I ’ ve received though my studies at Crosslands Seminary . As a group we ’ ve benefitted specifically from training I ’ ve been able to deliver on Bible exposition , Biblical theology and even the art of storytelling . This has really enhanced our preaching of narrative passages of scripture , which has been a great blessing to our church as we ’ ve been recently preaching through the Gospel of John . The growth and development of our preaching team has been a great benefit to our church and to other local churches that our preaching team are now regularly supporting .
We ’ ve also seen a lot of value from training I ’ ve undertaken with our worship leaders over the last few months . Coming out of a period of lockdowns during the pandemic had left many in our congregation weary and exhausted and our music ministry has been a pivotal aspect of them being able to find rest in our Lord . I ’ ve been able to use the training I ’ ve been given on my seminary course in both pastoral and biblical studies to help our worship leaders grow in their ability to lead our church in worship through the Word of God . Currently we ’ re working through Matt Boswell ’ s book ‘ Doxology and Theology ’, and the growth in
Already my studies have been of great benefit to my development as a preacher and to those within my congregation as they develop their gifts .
our leaders ’ ability and confidence to lead us has been tangible and so beneficial for us all .
Our other leaders at Liberti and our church as a whole will continue to benefit from the investment that you have made in helping me continue my studies at Crosslands Seminary and I look forward to being able to share more stories of growth and blessing in my next written report .
