Update on our 2021 Mission
In the last issue of Ichthus we announced our development plans for LWPT and the roadmap we ’ d be pursuing . In the last few weeks we ’ ve been in touch with some of our members and supporters to ask them for their feedback on LWPT .
CEO Ian Buchanan has spoken by phone to a number of our longest-standing supporters to ask them for a detailed evaluation of LWPT and to find out how they think we are doing in meeting our current aims and what might need to change . We ’ ve also sent out a survey to a much greater sample size , asking them to complete and return a questionnaire . We ’ ll be using the responses to inform us on our development journey .
Farewell to a valued Trustee
Our Trustee of four years standing , Rev ’ d Charlie Styles , is moving on to pastures new . Charlie , who serves as an ordained minister in South Leicestershire , served as a trustee since February 2017 . We will miss his passion for the mission of LWPT and his many ideas and great enthusiasm . Please join us in our appreciation of his trusteeship at LWPT and wish him well in his future ventures .
Coming up in our next issue
With the weightiness of over 127,000 deaths from Covid-19 in the UK , and over 3 million worldwide , it is right that we pause and reflect this year . Our next issue of Preach is on the theme of grief , which will have touched many of us unexpectedly . Alongside the successful vaccination programme in the UK , and genuine signs of regrowth and hopefulness in the church , there is also time for reflection and lament . Many preachers and leaders in the UK church have personal stories , or have closely supported others coping with loss and death .
Preach will be hearing from people writing about the Covid context , and from preachers and authors on how to minister into grief .

Easter Appeal Update
A huge “ thank you ” to everyone who gave so generously to our Easter Appeal .
Donations are still being counted but the current tally ( on 10th May 2021 ) is £ 7,610 .
Your generosity means we can provide even more resources for preachers and financial help to student preachers .
