In our next issue , we look at smaller churches , in both rural and urban settings . The Rural Affairs group will offer tips and practical advice , to encourage , sustain and grow these ministries .
Ali Hull discusses smaller church life with leaders from various backgrounds , there will be an interview with evangelist and author , Preston Perry , and an interview with renowned Rev Dr Sam Wells , plus all our regular columnists , including the final part of Rick Lewis ’ series on resilience and Bob Hartman on All-age preaching .
Join us as we celebrate the strength , creativity and faith of the smaller churches and the roles they play in our greater Christian community .
Grant Applications
We have the honour of allocating funds to future preachers that will financially support their training expenses . We ’ d like to remind everyone who might need to apply for a grant for their studies that the grant application deadline is 3 October 2024 .
If you or your organisation are seeking financial support for training in preaching or worship leadership , please ensure that your application is submitted before this date . We encourage all eligible individuals and groups from any Christian denomination to apply .
Sermon of the Year ( SOTY )
Over the years , we had the pleasure of hosting an annual event : Sermon of the Year , and the last one aired in 2022 .
We were honoured to witness the incredible skill and craft of sermon writing and delivery , but we will no longer be hosting this event as LWPT .
Although the SOTY event will no longer take place , most of the books and resources associated with SOTY are still available for you to purchase at preachweb . com / books-and-diaries
