LWPHomes is a charity which is close to the hearts of some long-standing LWPT supporters , as the two charities were historically linked . Westerley Minehead ’ s Open Day
Westerley Minehead recently held their annual Open Day on Saturday 1st July . The weather was glorious and the event was very well attended . The day ’ s activities were opened by Councillor Jean Parbrook , Mayor of Minehead . Musical entertainment was provided by The Blooming Flutes Choir and Talholme Consort recorder Group who performed throughout the day .
With the wonderful weather and Wimbledon in full swing , attendees enjoyed strawberries and cream teas . The event was organised by Minehead ’ s new Activities Co-ordinator , Ian Atkins , who did a wonderful job . Ian continues to create links in the community which remains extremely important for the residents at Westerley Minehead as it brings the outside world into the home .
Westerley Minehead management would like to thank everyone who supported the day . From the staff and local businesses who donated items for the event and to those who attended for playing a part in raising over £ 300 for the Resident ’ s Amenities Fund .
