LWPHomes is a charity which is close to the hearts of some long-standing LWPT supporters, as the two charities were historically linked. Westerley Minehead’ s Open Day
Westerley Minehead recently held their annual Open Day on Saturday 1st July. The weather was glorious and the event was very well attended. The day’ s activities were opened by Councillor Jean Parbrook, Mayor of Minehead. Musical entertainment was provided by The Blooming Flutes Choir and Talholme Consort recorder Group who performed throughout the day.
With the wonderful weather and Wimbledon in full swing, attendees enjoyed strawberries and cream teas. The event was organised by Minehead’ s new Activities Co-ordinator, Ian Atkins, who did a wonderful job. Ian continues to create links in the community which remains extremely important for the residents at Westerley Minehead as it brings the outside world into the home.
Westerley Minehead management would like to thank everyone who supported the day. From the staff and local businesses who donated items for the event and to those who attended for playing a part in raising over £ 300 for the Resident’ s Amenities Fund.
