ICA Update
On February 23rd more than 300 people filled the Julia Morgan Ballroom for our 7th annual ICA Cristo Rey Business Luncheon . Once again , Clint and Janet Reilly welcomed us into this historic space that honors one of San Francisco ’ s leading women in architecture . In this setting , we honored this year ’ s recipients and shared our story with our community of supporters . This year , Bill Barulich and Bi- Rite Food Distributors received the Leader in Co-Education Award for their stellar partnership and their more than eight years of support as a corporate partner . Bill and his team have hosted more than 20 ICA Cristo Rey students over the years , giving them once in a lifetime experience as members of the Bi-Rite finance team . In his acceptance remarks , Bill Barulich made a request of other executives in the room to partner with our Corporate Work Study Program . We also honored Linda Grohe , Board Chair , for her enduring leadership over the past seven years . And we were excited to honor Jenny Novoa ’ 86 , Senior Director of Risk Management and Safety at Gap Inc ., who has had students in her office for more than 5 years . It was a special recognition to celebrate our relationship with one of our star alumnae who has continued the tradition of sisterhood that makes ICA Cristo Rey the community that realizes the potential of our future women leaders .
