Reflections from 130th Year Mass 1963 On October 5th, 2013 ICA’s “Class of 1963” celebrated their 50 year Reunion at the Embassy Suites in South San Francisco. “It was one of the most memorable evenings in our lives”, as stated by 47 attending classmates. We had girls attending from all over California, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, and Maria Villabolos all the way from Queretaro Qro. Mexico. We wanted to meet again soon so we decided to have a “70th Bir thday Celebration" in 2 years. ICA played such an impor tant par t in our formative years we agreed to collect $1,000 and send it to ICA to show our appreciation for the wonderful years we spent learning and making such special life-long friends. It will be sent to 30 Fall 2013 It was so wonderful to have spent time with my classmates and honor ICA's 130th Anniversary together. Amazingly, we picked up our connection to each other where we left off 50 years ago!! The mass with the Student Body and our dear Dominican Sisters was very moving and made so special by our receiving our 50th Year Medallions. One of our highlights, I think, was the tour of the school, recalling our time at ICA, our teachers, and our shared four-year history. Walking the halls, visiting classrooms brought back so many of the great experiences that made our four years at ICA meaningful, and often, so much fun. And learning more about the Cristo Rey Program was inspirational! Our thanks to ICA for welcoming us back Alma Mater with such enthusiasm and love. That good ICA spirit lives on and may it do so for 130 more years! ~Judy Giampaoli '63 You said it all, Judy, and so well! It was touching indeed, to realize that our common roots and bonds through our time at ICA allowed us to rejoice in one another and the kind of faith-based, value-centered women we have become. It was wonderful to hear one another's stories of unfolding. Our 'tour" portion was uplifting, as we see our Alma Mater serving the needs of today's youth through the Cristo Rey program. God bless ICA and our beloved Dominicans who helped form us into women of service! ~Paula Pardini '63 It was wonderful being a part of ICA's 130th anniversary celebration. Thank you for a wonderful time and for making the class of '63 feel so special. ICA is doing a wonderful job for these girls who come from an inner-city setting. You are doing God's work. God bless you. Many blessings during this wonderful Christmas season. ~Mercedes Brady '63 2013 Alumnae Luncheon Raffle Winners $300 Ileana Krzyzanowski ‘68 $200 Norman Higgins ‘50 $100 Susan Fox ‘64 Please remember to send us your news for the Update and include all details - name of your fiancé or spouse, baby’s name and birthday, etc. Please send pictures!
