While levies collected underpin research and development as well as our highly successful marketing program, memberships are used to resource key activities like advocating on behalf of industry on issues like beehive movements, water availability and defending growers’ social license to grow. Never before has it been as important to advocate, educate and facilitate on a wide range of issues on behalf of members. Dealing with supply chain stakeholders including politicians, bureaucrats, public servants, other peak industry bodies, retailers, manufacturers and the public, takes time and requires significant resources.
The ABA can proudly claim to have tackled issues with a united voice over many years and memberships are an integral funding source for this work.
