Food and Hospitality Indonesia

THE ABA participated in the 2025 Food and Hospitality Indonesia trade show in Jakarta from 22-25 July. During the four day event, we engaged with a broad range of stakeholders, including importers, retailers and food industry professionals. The show provided a platform to showcase the quality, versatility and health credentials of Australian almonds, with sampling available throughout the event. A key outcome from the event was gaining a deeper understanding of the Indonesian market. Discussions with local stakeholders provided insights into consumer preferences, flavour profiles and key considerations for market access and growth. There was a particular interest in almonds as a nutrient-dense ingredient suitable for a wide range of applications, especially bakery. Jack Loh from Murray Downs Almonds attended and contributed to conversations with local buyers and shared grower perspectives on Australian almond production. Overall, Food and Hospitality Indonesia 2025 was a valuable opportunity to raise the profile of Australian almonds in Southeast Asia and strengthen relationships in the Indonesian market.
