Gyms were never really appealing
to me, so running became a big
part of my life. I began to run
every single day and literally did
not miss one day that passed by.
Some people become addicted to
drugs or alcohol, but I became a
true addict of running, and my
plan of running one a day turned
into three to four times a day.
I persistently had a runner’s high
all the time and finally started to
see some results kicking in. My
body was transforming, and I
was beginning to see the happy,
outgoing, and in-shape girl that I
had always known before. Running was no longer just a hobby
or a form of exercise to me; it
became my passion and was my
own personal way of relieving
stress.
My relationship with Ryan and
my weight gaining is something
I will never regret, and I say this
because going through both of
them has completely shaped and
transformed me into the person I
am now.
Also, both of these experiences
have taught me that you don’t
always need a “love life” to be
happy, and how to control my
body image to just the way I
want. Instead of trying to fall in
love again in college, I fell in love
with running and am now trying
to train myself to run a marathon
one day. This is a goal that I will
accomplish in my life at some

All of my hard work and determination proved to make a difference about who I am today. I
am now a sophomore in college,
and when stepping on the scale, I
weigh 145 pounds. Losing a total
of forty pounds was a huge accomplishment in my life. I have
completely transformed my body
through extensive training and
dedication, and I have never felt
better.
