BOLIVIA REITERATES MARITIME CLAIM IN
WASHINGTON

THE 45TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF THE ORGANIZACIÓN DE ESTADOS AMERICANOS (OEA)
BEGAN ON MONDAY IN WASHINGTON DC, WHERE BOLIVIA’S CHANCELLOR TOOK THE OPPORTUNITY TO
REITERATE HIS COUNTRY’S STANCE ON THEIR MARITIME CLAIM.
WASHINGTON D.C., UNITED STATES — David Choquehuanca, the
Bolivian Chancellor, commented on Bolivia’s position in regards to
their disagreement with Chile concerning his country’s access to the
sea.
La Tercera reported that Choquehuanca stated “Bolivia respectfully
permits itself to inform this dignified Assembly of the state in which
Bolivia’s demand to the International Court of Justice finds itself.”
Furthermore, the Bolivian Chancellor continued to reiterate the
reasons for which Bolivia is requesting the International Court of
Justice (ICJ) to review their demand; “Last April 24 2014, Bolivia
