My name is Rudy Hernandez and I am currently a freshman at Rock Valley College. I was born in Chicago so I plan on transferring to UIC and pursue a career in nursing. I've always been fascinated by the big city and all the things it has to offer even as a child. I'm the first of my family to attend college and too even graduate high school. I have many goals for myself in the future that I plan on accomplishing for my family and I. I recently joined Circle K in order to get more involved in college. Three weeks into the new club I was elected president. I was scared because of all the responsibilities the job has and I thought to myself I have to deal with all of them alone. Once I went to the retreat and met so many amazing people I was reassured that I will have plenty of help from everyone on the board. I know this club is going to help me become a better person and accomplish many goals that I have in life. I am very eager to see what's in store this upcoming year.
