If it wasn ’ t for this young man ’ s Innovative hoop junkie thoughts of taking Illinois high school into the cyber world , we probably wouldn ’ t be here today to give it to you in the raw !.... My very first encounter in the cyber-world came from a whisper in the gym .... One of my fellow hoopin buddies pulled my coat to where the hoop Junkies from all across the state was kicking science about this thing of ours ..... I hurried up and logged into the cyber world for the first time in my life and plugged into his message group .... I was amazed ! Like funding a buried treasure I was geeked !..... But my very first reply to a post was a hard smack back to reality that this was actually people with in the game and they wasn ’ t nice about too much of anything pertaining to Illinois high school basketball ..... By my 3rd eye peepin da game and how ish really was in this message board .... I kicked into form . Opened up my first weekly hoop report on that message board and named it ‘ The Crack House Weekly Hoop Report ’ by Lefty From The Low End ..... Message post writers felt that my weekly Hoop Report Destroyed the entire message board and most found refuge over at Chicagohoops . com .... Far away from elements of what the Crack House brought to that Cyber community .... So today I ’ ve decided to cut through all the rumors and bring it to you in the raw .... We got the Pioneer of Cyber space high school basketball in Illinois here with us today ..... The creator of Highschoolelite . com Frank Nusnak . This is iacb where it gets no illa !
WHERE ARE YOU FROM ? I grew up in Oak Forest and went to Sandberg HS . In Orlando Park . ANY BASKETBALL EXPERIENCE ? I was fortunate enough to play for the Illinois Warriors with Coach Larry Butler for one summer . Then I played for RBS ball clubs after that . I love the whole atmosphere of prep hoops from summer leagues into the season . It ’ s just fascinates me . HOW DID / WHY DID YOU START Highschoolelite . com ? I always loved to read basketball magazines and from that I began to love the art of journalism . I combined that with what I knew best , Illinois high school basketball and that ’ s how I birth Highschoolelite . com . I started the site back when there was server dial-up modems and there certainly wasn ’ t any serious money involved . I just absolutely loved what I do . From taking pictures to creating designs and features , interviewing the players ..... I just loved what I do . HOW WAS IT AT THE PEEK OF THE SITE ? AT the height of the site I briefly did a subscription newsletter for colleges which I was proud to have Illinois Univ ., Arizona Univ ., along with most of the instate
schools and a handful of junior colleges .... I also ran a few tournaments along with Von Steuben head coach Vince Carter . And my favorite event I put together was the top 50 Junior showcase where I got the very best juniors in the entire state to participate in those events . It was fun to get huge boxes from Nike delivered to my dorm room because I was a Freshman in college at the time I was organizing these events . DO YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH ANY CHICAGO BASKETBALL POLITICAL PRESSURES ? I got a good bit of haters when I didn ’ t have certain teams or players ranked . But it was all in good fun . I ( LEFTY B . BOYD ) WAS KNOWN AS LEFTY FROM THE LOW END IN YOUR WEBSITES MESSAGE BOARD AND WAS KNOWN AS A TROUBLEMAKER AND A LOT OF PEOPLE LEFT BECAUSE I RAN WILD WITH-IN THE MESSAGE BOARD IN MY CRACK HOUSE WEEKLY HOOP REPORTS . GIVE ME YOUR TAKE ? You were always one of the top contributors to the message board and I most definitely appreciated your sight on the game . OK .... IT YOUR FLOOR TO DROP THE SCIENCE
