So it taught me how to be more aggressive scoring the ball . Q . HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED WITH THE USA 3 ON 3 TEAM ? AL MCKINNIE I got a text to come try out for a 3 on 3 team and I declined it twice . The only reason I decided to come to the workouts the 3rd time was when they said Former Bulls Randy Brown would be conducting the training and he was the coach of the team . So I went . I was on the second team and got bumped up once Jeremiah Wilson hurt his hand during workouts . We played a national tournament at the USA Olympic workout Facility in Colorado . We ( Stephon Hannah , Mike Henry ) won the National 3 on 3 and started getting offers to play in different parts of the world . We played in Mexico and China . That ’ s when I found out how serious this 3 on 3 game is across the world . It ’ s players that ’ s considered 3 on 3 professional ball players . Teams have plays and everything . We had to start making up plays competing in those tourneys . Q . HOW DID YOU GET ON THE WINDY CITY BULLS TEAM ? AL MCKINNIE After we got back from the 3 on 3 tourneys , Randy Brown called me down to the Bulls workout complex to workout with the guys and I did well that day . They told me I could come back every day and workout with them until they told me I couldn ’ t workout with them anymore . So I came daily working out with those guys . Then they ask me if I wanted to tryout for the Windy City Bulls and I had to go through the whole tryout thing and I made it to training camp ... AND made the team . Q .. HOW HAS THINGS BEEN SO FAR ? AL MCKINNIE It ’ s a blessing . I Crack the starting lineup last game . Q . MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT IN BASKETBALL ? AL MCKIN- NIE
The USA 3 ON 3 experience . Just to be apart of the team that representing the Nation was a honor . They treated us the same way they treated there other athletes .
