This vessel is registered in Panama and goes under the Panama national flag. It was built in
2011 by the company Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), put into operation in 2012. The PCTC
ship length is 200 m, in breadth – 32 m. Vessel tonnage – 5.970 tons. The maximum speed –

GLOVIS SPIRIT сыграл особую роль в истории развития компании. Это судно стало первым
контейнеровозом типа «Постпанамакс» (Post Panamax). Так называют судна, размеры
которых превышают максимальный стандарт габаритов для прохождения по Панамскому
каналy, ширина которого - 33, 6 м.
GLOVIS в 2013 году получила в свое пользование судно GLOVIS SPIRIT, которое было
построено по заказу компании на верфи Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. Судно зарегестри-
ровано на Маршалловых островах и ходит под флагом этого государства. Скорость судна
составляет 20 узлов (37,04 км/ч).

Судно может перевозить до 7300 автомобилей, что превышает вместимость стандартных
PCTC («Панамакс») на 800 единиц. Суда «Панамакс» обычно имеют ширину в 32,4 м,
чтобы проходить по основному Панамскому каналу. GLOVIS SPIRIT в ширину составляет 35,4 м, а в длину не отличается от стандартных PCTC – 200 м.
Собственно, именно превышение стандартного габарита в ширину и дало право компании назвать GLOVIS SPIRIT первым судном «Постпанамакс».
Использование судов такого типа позволяет привлекать внимание большего количества клиентов среди лидеров автомобильного производства.
GLOVIS SPIRIT played a special role in the history of development of the company. This vessel became the first Post Panamax container carrying ship. The size of
such vessels exceeds the maximum standard of dimensions for passing through the Panama Canal which width is 33, 6 m.
In 2013 GLOVIS received the vessel GLOVIS SPIRIT which was built on the shipyard of Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. The vessel is registered on the Marshall
Islands and goes under the flag of this country. Vessel speed makes 20 knots (37,04 km/h).
The capacity is up to 7300 cars that exceeds the tonnage of standard PCTC ("Panamax") by 800 units. Panamax vessels usually have width of 32,4 m to pass
through the main Panama Canal 7 . GLOVIS SPIRIT width is 35,4 m, but length doesn't differ from standard PCTC – 200 m. So, excess of standard dimension of
width gave the company right to call GLOVIS SPIRIT the first Post Panamax vessel. The usage of such ships draws attention of a bigger number of clients among
leaders of automobile industry 8 .

В 2016 г. было завершено расширение канала, и теперь по нему могут проходит суда шириной до 49 м., длиной
до 366 м. Это обусловило появление нового формата судов – «новый Панамакс» (neo Panamax).
Несмотря на уверенное положение в данной области,
HYUNDAI GLOVIS не останавливается на достигнутом
результате и день изо дня работает над повышением уровня
