Dot 3:30 am as if tallied by a Cesium clock, we, the batch of 2016, the Diamond-Jubilee- AIIMSONIANS, left for a unforgettable journey to enrich our memories with each other further. Our bus was eagerly waiting to drop us at the station, where we ' d be boarding the train. Train @ 5:35 We all grabbed random seats in our coach and the journey began, with lots of excitement. We enjoyed looking out of the window. e blanket of fog that enveloped the farmland. Standing by the door fearing a fall while peeping out of the train. e freezing breeze with sun basking was an amazing experience. Most of us opted just to slumber off, while our batch photographer with his DSLR was taking our photographs with expertise( LOL). en at 12:30 we changed our train at Kalka. I have only one phrase for the toy train. Pure unalloyed joy. We passed through too many valleys, hills, tunnels and turns to keep count. We were in 3 disconnected coaches but that didn ' t stop us to wave to each other when the train took sharp twists and turns. We nally reached the summer hill station @ 6:30 pm. It took us another half an hour to lodge ourselves into the guest house. It was an awesome place; a huge mansion and of historic importance... Amazingly, that night we strolled up and down four times exploring the place. We went deep down the ghostly lane. e night being jet black, we saw many constellation patterns. e intellectuals discussed astronomy and told each other spooky tales. At night, we had really tasty curry in a really nice ambience. Most of us were tired and slept early but a party was held late night anyways. I ' m not going to let its secret out!

Yesterday ' s events were hard to jot down since happening days swirl out faster than light. Shortage of water in the hills, smelly rooms after fun-lled trekking, long queues for morning rituals- couldn ' t bother us much. Tasty parathas were served with delicious butter and we began our march towards Chadwick falls. Serpentine roads, deep valleys and the beautiful sunshine added to the charm of the chilling hilly regime. On an seemingly endless road, we trod for miles up and down, on wide and narrow trails. An aesthetic cascade was waiting eagerly for us. At a distance of about 4 km and diving deep into a Gorge of 68m was a memorable scene. e evening was spent on the Mall Road, a place full of food stalls and a heaven for shopaholics and photogenics. Jaakhu temple with a grand Hanuman ' s statue on the top of the hill was a winsome place to visit, to which very few of us dared to walk. Oh, wait! I almost missed to tell you that tomorrow would be Munavvir ' s b ' day. Let ' s not forget the cake face-splashing ceremony and the inevitable birthday kicks!

" Aaj to Kufri mein kul jamegi” With this thought in our minds, we put on as many layers of clothes as humanly possible. e day kicked off with serial episodes of bathing, tasty aloo Puri and photoshoots by the Kerala boys. Two of the Himachal tourism buses with 61 of us left towards our destination. For today, I’ d denitely say, the journey sometimes seems better than the destination. Yaks, apple estates and nally a wobbly journey by mules- many loved this mode of transport, while some of us were dreadful about it. ere was not much to do up there although we enjoyed gobbling Maggi together. We returned with loads of moments to cherish and blithesome memories. Even the burning heat of the food couldn’ t rob our taste buds of the delicious taste the dinner had to offer. So let me today leak a tiny part of our late night parties. In the inner room of basement hall, the lights were put off, with only a ickering torch. Turn by turn every one of us became a DJ and played all sort of raucous songs and danced wildly.
