STRINGS

hile I was sitting in my
room looking at the string
of jewels across my neck,
in the mirror, I came up with a string
theory of my own. Before you get all
‘physics-y’ at me, let me tell you: this
is not even remotely related to THE
string theory. is theory of mine is
applicable only to relationships.
So, here we consider that every
human has a physical element, the
body and the emotional counterpart,
or the ‘mind and soul’, as some put it.
Now, there are a certain number of
assumptions that we have to make
before we dive into the concepts of
this theory. First, the emotional
aspect of every human is depicted by
a set of strings. e length of these
strings is xed for a particular
person.
Different
people
can have different lengths depending
on their expressive exibility. ese
strings are not completely elastic but
they can be stretched slightly from
their original length. eir tensile
strength also varies from person to
person, and portrays their emotional
vigour.
Now, each string is supposed to
symbolize a different aspect of
character and a different type of
sentiment. e number of strings is
indenite. ey are not innite but
they are not denite. is number
increases as the person becomes
more mature psychologically but the
rate of increase keeps decreasing. For
example, if the increase in the
number of strings from the age of 15
to the age of 25 is 8 per month, then
the increase in number from 25 to
35 will be, say, 2 per month.
Now when two people
[person A and
person B]
meet, they
