Remote production comes with a
unique set of challenges, but Duet
Media embraces these with its core
experience of remote equipment
operation and live streaming. This
way of working sees a reduction in
the equipment and crew taken to
venues, leaving the control room in
a central location. The advantages
include reaching both on-site and
virtual audiences while minimising
travel and crew costs, simplifying
social distancing measures and a
long-term reduction in environmental
impact. The greatest challenge has
always been transmitting the video
and audio feeds back to the control
room but there are an increasing
number of ways this can be achieved
and Duet Media has invested in the
expertise and technology to make
this available to all, for everything
from conferences and meetings
to training events, seminars and
full scale musical and theatrical
performances.

Every relationship with the Duet
Group starts with a conversation.
The name Duet has clear musical
connotations, however it is also
illustrative of how we view our
relationship with each and every
client. Whether it is a single event
or a relationship built over years,
we make time to understand every
client so that, together, we can
deliver the best results.

HYBRID EVENTS
Our remote production solution
enables us to service multiple events
on the same day, share technical
resources across different events,
provide an isolated critical monitoring
environment (something we have
all struggled to find backstage at
a busy event!) and to maximise
cost efficiency. A hybrid event can
include one or more ‘stages’ with one
or many presenters and attendees
can be local or remote in numerous

locations. Of course, the event
can also be recorded for future
broadcast, archive or promotional
use. Every audio and video asset is
just that, something which can be
leveraged on the day and into the
future.
Gathering the video and audio
feeds as well as any other core
materials for the broadcast is the first
task, and once these have returned to
the control room, Duet blends these
with further materials generated for
clients with the assistance of our
in-house design team – the output is
then seamlessly mixed to create the
whole:
• Branding and graphics
• Video Conferencing integration
– combine your guests on stage
with remote callers
• VTs, Title sequences, Musical
soundtrack – give your event true
broadcast production
• Broadcast audio mix –
multichannel audio mix for
broadcast
• ISO recordings, PGM and audio
capture – for post-production
edits
• Broadcast to Simultaneous
destinations/platforms.
Established in 2016 as part of the
Duet Group, Duet Media provides
production, installation and leasing
services especially to the events,
performing arts and educational
sectors. Providing white label
services to a number of agencies, we
are experienced in working in many
of the country’s major venues and for
some of Europe’s largest events.
As part of the Duet Group, Duet
Media can provide highly competitive
packages to integrate into the
remote production model. For
venues, camera and encoder long
term hire or leases can facilitate
permanent installations for event
organisers. For organisers, we can
hire kit and crew to come to your
venue which will then connect to our
production team back in the studio.
In all of these scenarios, you only pay
for the production studio as you need
it to support your event.

and that it should not intrude on
