a wealth of experience to its operations.
Iyengar describes how the
company came to be, from his early
days in the industry: “I was a front of
house engineer for many bands, working
as a freelancer back in the day. I
got fed up with being on the road.
There was one year where I must have
only seen my home for three days.”
Moonlite was established in
1988, offering sound for events. But,
says Iyengar, “over the years clients
asked me to provide the entire solution,
so relationships were made
with many other companies who
could offer me the ‘other bits’,
such as lighting, staging and A/V.
“One by one, pretty much all
these companies let me down, so
I made the investment to provide
all the necessary services myself.”
In the years since, Moonlite has
gone from strength to strength.
It now boasts an impressive client
list, with its most recent coup being
London’s Victory Services Club.
Iyengar says: “The Victory Services
Club was introduced to us by Mash
Media. The venue had been through
several production companies, and
were pretty unhappy with the service.
“Since we won VSC as a client, we
have performed a massive restructure
of their in-house technology, in
particular in the Carisbrooke Suite.
We are confident that we can now
deliver anything a client is likely to
need, without a fuss or indeed any
problems. On our advice, VSC has
installed super-fast broadband lines
to all their function suites, specifically
to enable streaming and data transfer.
We tried it last week, and the results
were epic. We managed a high definition
stream without a single glitch.”
Peter Bishop of BAM Nuttal Ltd,
another client, says: “We engaged
Moonlite Productions to provide full
A/V support and to set the stage up
for our annual internal communications
roadshows. The team has to cope
with nine venues and ten gigs during
one month, with varying degrees of
accessibility, size and ceiling height.
“I cannot speak highly enough
of the professionalism of the crew
who handled the show with ease,
and made the lives of the roadshow
organisers that much easier.”
