Till death do us apart
Chapter 1: Bian Hung 1962
I walk to the train station to get home as I do every afternoon but this day was different. I pick a
seat and I sit down and everything was normal until he walked in. he walked in I didn’t know
him but something was different about me because my heart started racing. He then sat in front
of me. He smiled at me and I smiled back but I was still smiling in my mind but he didn’t know
that. I think it was called love at first sight.
He walked up to me and sat in the seat next to me as the train stopped. I could feel my heart
racing faster and faster.
“Hey”, I said. I didn’t want to make it obvious that I like him but I didn’t care if I did because he
made me happy.
“Hey”, he said “By the way my name is Chi”.
“I like your name and I am Bian”, I said.
“Nice to meet you, Bian ….”, he said.
“Bian Hung” I said thinking he wanted my first and last name.
“Thanks, myself Chi Sinh”, he said.
He had a great personality that always had me smiling. It was maybe because I feel in love with
him or he was just an amazing person in general.
Time went by really fast when I was with him and I knew that when I realized I was almost
home. The train stops about half a mile before I get to my house which isn’t bad considering in
South Vietnam you either ride the train or you walk. I do both when the rest of my family just
walks.
