Review : The Protank by Kangertech Kangertech has created an accessory which recently made me stand up and take notice of a company that I would be unlikely to normally consider. The Protank is a fairly innocuous looking accessory, but do not misunderstand that for the Protank being another run of the mill tank. Kanger gave some thought to its manufacture, and has taken a lot of vapers by surprise. The Protank comes packaged in a elegant box, and the individual components are nestled in foam rubber packaging. The Protank kit comes with two 2.4 ohm atomizers, a 510 threaded connector/base, a ego threaded ring as an aesthetic, and the tank body itself. One of the things I was initially impressed with about the Protank is the build quality. It has stainless steel throughout with a nice polished finish and feel. There is no availability for a drip tip to connect with the Protank, but the incorporation of the mouthpiece into the tank design has a comfortable mouth feel. The base of the Protank incorporates the atomizer into the base of the tank, and allows the atomizers to screw into the base. The atomizers are very easy to change, a matter of unscrewing it from the base and replacing it with another. There have been some issues expressed about the Protank leaking from this area, but I suspect that may be due to the atomizer not being seated in the base tightly enough. Filling the Protank is similar to filling any other clearomizer, simply turn the tank upside down and fill the tank from between the center post and the inner tank wall. From there it is a matter of attaching the base assembly to the bottom of the tank, and you are ready to vape.
