THE ENGAGEMENT OF Kenli Richard & Esteban Bustamante Where did you two meet? We met at Branded for Christ church in Huntsville, TX. When was the moment you knew you were meant to marry each other? KR: I knew we were supposed to be together when I realized he wasn’t waiting around forever for me and was moving on without me at the Valentine’s banquet. EB: I don’t exactly remember when, but I just knew. What part of the wedding planning process are you most excited about? What are you not looking forward to? KR: I most look forward to the day I walk down that aisle and take Esteban’s last name, but the most stressful part was planning the little details to get to the big day. EB: I look forward to her being my wife and she has really done the planning for the wedding. Are there any wedding trends that you think are overdone and want to steer clear of? I know one trend we steered clear of was having a long engagement because we know we are going to get married so why not get the ball rolling and jump in? What are three qualities you admire about each other? KR: I love his passion for goals and future plans, his heart for the Lord and how he honors and respects me. EB: She is loyal, committed, a great communicator and smoking hot. What are you looking forward to most about married life? We look forward to growing old together and conquering the world as a team. Do you think you’ll cry or get emotional on your wedding day? KR: I think I will cry because I’ve waited my whole life to find Esteban and I love him so much. EB: I probably will get choked up, but I’ll play it off cool. 24 | HUNTSVILLE LIVING | WINTER 2020
