W
hen talking wedding budget, profes-
sional hair and makeup are one of the
fi rst items that comes to mind when
slashing costs. We all do our own hair
and makeup every day, so why should you hire a
stylist for your wedding when you could simply
save that expense?
Hiring a stylist can not only assure you feel your
most beautiful and confi dent on your special day,
but help ease wedding day chaos that will likely
ensue, making your day to remember an easy,
positive experience.
Jewlia Miller of The Face Maker salon in down-
town Huntsville talks do’s and don’ts for wedding
day beauty and what to keep in mind before
booking appointments.
TIMELESS STYLE
Miller recommends sticking with timeless, soft
and natural styles that will give a nice glow, avoid-
ing bold statements.
“Trends change so much, you want to look back
on these pictures 30 years later and be like ‘wow,
I don’t have blue eyeshadow’ … you want to have
something soft and look like yourself,” Miller
said.
As for hair, Miller sees brides gravitating to-
wards very light styles with soft curls pinned up
in a messy, yet put together fashion. Adding ac-
cessories to hair like baby’s breath fl owers, can
elevate any style for your special day.
