For over 35 years Kim ’ s Home and Garden has been a woman-owned and operated business , providing Huntsville and the surrounding area with all of the home and garden needs .
Owner Kim Bius has taken her passion for design and successfully dove into a realm where female leadership is uncommon .
“ In this industry it is very rare , because not only am I in the garden center industry , I ’ m in the design industry and the construction and landscape industry ,” Bius said . “ And you just don ’ t see that combination of a woman-owned business without any other man or husband , you just don ’ t see that very often .”
Bius credits her gift of knowledge and design to God , and is grateful to have a staff that shares her vision . She and her staff take the beauty that they see in creation and work hard to bring that beauty into the homes of their customers .
“ I love what I do , I love making things beautiful , I love using the gifts God gave me and sharing those with the other folks here on the staff who all share in that same passion so that we can bring all this knowledge and expertise back to the consumer ,” Bius said .
