Ink Slingers is a family owned and operated business that was started in 2003 by Nate Smith and wife , Telisha Smith . Together , with their two daughters Ashley , Laketa and part timer Fransico , they produce an estimated 150,000 t-shirts annually .
Ink Slingers is best known for their school spirit , and $ 5 Hornet t-shirts . In 2023 , they were forced to raise the price of their bestselling Hornet t-shirts to $ 8 , but still offer a wide variety of sizes , themes , prints and colors for all Hornet fans . Along with the Hornet tees , they are popular for their exceptional customer service , the fastest turnaround time and array of professional quality services , including custom hats , embroidery , and TDCJ apparel .

Choice since 2015 . Nate credits their 21 years of success to their faith in GOD , their commitment to community , and support from his wife .
Nate is a 1993 graduate of Huntsville High School and 1999 graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in Graphic Design . He feels that his business thrives due to the support from his hometown community and will forever be grateful and will continue to provide high quality ,
