H untsville is more than just the place we live in Walker County . My wife , Tish and I , met at SHSU 40 plus years ago and decided Huntsville needed to be our home ! Now to be able to serve as the mayor of this vibrant city that harmoniously blends history , culture , and community spirit is truly a blessing . Huntsville has so many things to offer ; museums to parks , antiques to on-trend clothing and of course the Statue of Sam Houston and Visitor Center as well as the State Park .
