AOA ’ s small roster led to some players being out of position or undersized . Being undersized didn ’ t stop at the seniors .
Devin Isom was another senior on this roster but missed time due to an injury . Isom played as an outside linebacker and despite being smaller , he still brought down defenders . Seth Burkhalter was the lone senior left for AOA this season .
“ Seth is such a good character guy and a good locker room guy ,” Norris said . “ We are going to miss that .”
“ Devin Isom is just so tough ,” Norris said . “ For typically being undersized for what we do he ’ s just another guy that I wish would have been healthy more . He showed us at the end of the year he could have played some linebacker for us .”
Now , the Lions will head into a slight rebuild as they are losing players in some key roles , they have the offseason to figure it out .
One of the main keys for Norris and the Lions will be developing from the lower levels and up .
“ I think if we can get the right people in the right positions and develop them from middle school and up will be good ,” Norris said . “ I ’ m excited to work a new quarterback in next year with somebody we can develop into our system . There ’ s a lot of stuff we are excited about .”
