Balloon artists offer unique creations

You might have seen them around town , the bright pops of color wavering weightlessly across your favorite shop ’ s entrance , calling out to passersby for a quick selfie perhaps , igniting a childlike excitement which welcomes them inside .
They ’ ve been a trend across DIY inspired social media , a new favorite for events , a once childish concept reimagined as a carefully crafted art form with endless possibilities .
The classier version of the tubular man that flails around in the wind , and a longer lasting option than flowers , balloons have made a stylishly grand reappearance with a broader audience in mind .
It ’ s the creativity of the craft that balloon artist Courtney Ehlert loves most about her partnership with Cameron Seale at GF & Wild , their Huntsville based balloon artistry business , brightening the community ’ s day with balloons of all colors and sizes .
Ehlert and Seale were both teachers before they banded together to
start their business in 2020 , after noticing the void of party decoration suppliers in the area . The duo worked tirelessly to learn the skills of the trade and are now full blown balloon artists , making their clients ’ visions come to life through their stunning installations .
“ I ’ ve always felt very crafty , so I love every unique piece that we do ,” Ehlert said . “ I love constructing it and seeing how it turns out .”
No matter how old you get , the bright pop of color and whimsical shapes that balloons offer are always uplifting to the soul and the artists love seeing their customers ’ joy and excitement when they get to see their design come to life .
“ Balloons and happiness have always kind of gone together , it ’ s fun to be able to be a part of that part of it ,” Seale said .
From large installations at birthday parties , political campaigns , engagements and rehearsal dinners to small tabletop centerpieces and deliverables to the workplace , they ’ ve got a grip on custom balloons for every occasion .
“ Its really neat because instead of just a handful of balloons on a string , it gets to be customized to each and every event , so there ’ s no two the same , so it really makes the event or party very specific to the celebration and I like that , it just customizes the experience ,” Seale said .
And because their balloons are for the most part filled with air rather than helium , they can maintain their appearance for extended time , bringing joy to others for longer .
“ The thing about balloons is if you keep them indoors , they last a really long time , so it ’ s something that they can have on display for a while ,” Seale said .
