We are a diverse, multidisciplinary community of scholars, teachers, foresight practitioners, policy
analysts, activists, students, and others with a long-range view. WFSF has a long-standing commit-
ment to truly global futures and is dedicated to stimulating awareness of the urgent need for long-
term thinking to resolve complex local, national, regional and global problems.
If you or your institution is interested in learning and shaping how research-driven futurists unders-
tand and create the future, then WFSF may be the place for you.
There are many opportunities to become actively involved in WFSF’s organizational ranks, whether it’s
involvement in the WFSF World Conference, WFSF Secretariat, a WFSF Local Chapter, on the Editorial
Board of this magazine, developing external partnerships, or finding and executing new avenues to
improve the breadth and depth of our activities. We also regularly share and discuss new findings and
ideas, current events, futures-related gatherings, collaborative work on long-term projects, and much
much more!
