Omar Hosari Michael Neidhardt Co-founder and CEO, UAS International Trip Support Executive MBA, Class of 2015 Best 100 Arab CEOs Project Manager, Daimler AG MBA, Class of 2017 Hult Business Challenge Client Omar was no stranger to the entrepreneurial mindset when he embarked on Hult’s Executive MBA program, as he came from a family of serial entrepreneurs. His father, Hisham, was among the pioneers of the civil aviation infrastructure in the Middle East during the 1950s. As UAS International Trip Support Co-founder and CEO, Omar Hosari’s vision and expertise is central to UAS’ growth from a handful of employees into a global network over the past 17 years. His recent recognition as one of the top 100 Arab CEOs and being honored with an Arab Best Award for Leadership serve to highlight how effectively Omar runs his business, which is at the forefront of aviation services. Michael has always seen the benefit of combining his academic study with the business world. While pursuing his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University, he forged a close relationship with Daimler AG. He worked with them throughout his studies to develop a lightweight structure for hybrid truck batteries. He spent three months in Japan working as part of the global hybrid truck team and six months in Denmark working in an international team focused on wind turbine technologies. After completing his studies, he followed his passion for all things automotive by developing vehicle concepts in the force field technique and economy for Daimler’s Product Strategy department. Omar believes that the most important quality of a leader is a willingness to go first. “Great leaders inspire by taking the first steps and being unafraid to go into new territory. This is why people trust and follow them. It’s a courageousness that transcends anything personal.” Omar has founded other ventures in the construction, chocolate, and children’s toy industries. He is now training to climb Mount Everest in a bid to realize a childhood dream and motivate others to overcome challenges. As a Hult MBA student he really enjoyed the opportunities offered to him through various consulting projects. Personal highlights included working with Ferrari and acting as consultant for Unilever during the Hult Business Challenge (HBC), and attended the Pitch@Palace in 2018. In his latest efforts to build bridges between his organization and alma mater, he successfully engaged with Hult to execute the HBC for the MBA Class of 2018. Michael represented Daimler by introducing what Hult students can offer with their growth mindset and also supported the event as an alumnus. 99
