M I N D F U L N E SS How do you really feel about your work? One of the first steps to being more mindful is to become curious about your own experience. You’ll become more aware about how you think, feel, sense, and habitually react. For example, consider your work life by spending some time thinking about what answers you would give to the questions below. When people ask me how I am, how often do I describe myself as ‘busy’? Looking at my diary, how much free space is there? Too much Too little Just right What do I spend most of my time on? What do I want to spend my time on? When did I last go into work when I was sick? Very often Within the last month Often In the last six months Sometimes In the last year/Never Rarely Do I want to be seen as busy? Why? Why did I go into work sick? Would I have been more productive if I had rested? Do I feel there are rules regarding when I should be at my desk? Do I feel pressure to work outside normal working hours?
