Daniela Ortega( Master of International Business ' 15) VidaBakery
Daniela was born in Venezuela but now calls London her home. She came to Hult hoping to learn how to blend her desire to make a difference with her passion for baking to create a viable business. Her lessons are certainly paying off, as with the launch of VidaBakery she has found a way to“ bake the world to a better place.” All of her products are 100 % vegan and gluten free, and she has become something of a dessert specialist. Daniela’ s delicious treats have already received interest from Kruger, Protein Haus, and Pret A Manger.
Andrés Arsaelsson( MBA ' 15) Nordic Exclusive & Just Hashtag
Andrés is originally from Iceland. After graduation, Andrés moved to Dubai and has since started two new businesses – Nordic Exclusive and Just Hashtag. Nordic Exclusive is an importer of premium Scandinavian delicacies targeting Dubai’ s fine-dining restaurants. Just Hashtag is an event marketing printer company, designed to build online brand awareness. Available for event hire, the printer invites attendees to instantly print their Instagram snaps and stream them on a live onsite feed. Just Hashtag premiered their innovative product at the World Cup Welcome Party hosted by Sheikh Mohammed.
Alan Newton( EMBA ' 14) Eventopedia
Alan is a British alumnus living in London and is the Co-Founder of Eventopedia. He came to Hult with over 16 years’ experience in event management, but the EMBA program gave him both the practical skills and resources to create a disruptive eventbased company. Eventopedia, launched in 2014, is an online marketplace for event planners and venue suppliers. Its Virtual Site Inspection video feature was awarded the 2015 Innovation of the Year prize by the Professional Publishers Association. With a £ 2 million company valuation, Alan is now looking to expand his business into the United States.
Juan Camilio Villegas( MBA ' 12) Linio
Juan is a Colombian national with a strong background in Colombia’ s retail sector. Upon graduating from Hult, Juan joined an early startup, Linio, as Chief Financial Officer of Colombia. Two years later, Juan is Managing Director and the company is the biggest online retail store in Latin America. Linio is an Amazon-style eCommerce marketplace that has enjoyed growth rates between 60-80 %. The company employs over 2,000 people and is active in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru. This year Linio opened its first office in China.
