Q: Moving forward to the next five to ten years, how do you see Hult evolving as a school, and what resources will Hult invest into the alumni community?
Over the next ten years, we are going to see a huge opportunity to become even more relevant to employers. When you go and speak to potential employers, they basically say business schools are too theoretical. Doing research into what employers value, providing executive education that really makes a tangible difference to employees, making sure that Hult graduates have cutting-edge knowledge— those are the three things we want to achieve. Realizing those goals was the driver for the operational merger with Ashridge, which for the first time takes us into the executive education and research spheres.
In terms of alumni, I think you’ ll see more resources supporting the alumni community. We haven’ t finalized the structure for that quite yet, but ultimately, where most of the money will go is on how to enable alumni to stay relevant in their careers. What alumni really need is ongoing professional development, and that’ s what we hope to provide.
