Since things happen a little quickly when making jam, it’s nice to have all your tools at the ready. • Take the time to test the jam’s doneness. It’s better to make sure that your jam is the right consistency than to rush through it and be disappointed with the results. • Don’t skimp on the sugar. You might be tempted to add less sugar to your jam, but if you’re a beginner it’s best to follow the recipe to a tee. Because the sugar in jelly EAT THIS is not just for sweetening, but for helping it gel and preserving it too. Wait to tweak recipes until you have more experience. • Make smaller batches. It’ll just be easier to manage until you get the hang of it. • Just know that once you’ve made jam a couple of times, the whole process will become second nature to you and you won’t have to sweat a thing.
