Enter 5 POINTERS AIRLINE MERGER CHALLENGED The Justice Department filed a lawsuit this week to block a proposed merger between American Airlines and US Airways, saying the deal would mean higher fares for consumers and reduce competition. “This is the best news that consumers could have possibly gotten,” said Charlie Leocha, director of the Consumer Travel Alliance.
