BOSTON
BOMBING
SUSPECT
CHARGED
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect of the Boston
Marathon bombing, has been charged with two federal
counts of using a weapon of mass destruction and malicious
destruction of property that resulted in death. The 19-yearold was charged while in the hospital, where he is still being
treated for injuries, and could be sentenced to life in prison or
face the death penalty. Amid the start of legal proceedings,
Boston held a moment of silence Monday at 2:50 p.m. in
remembrance of the twin bombs that went off one week ago,
killing three and injuring more than 280.
