HIGH SCHOOL GRAD RATE
HITS RECORD HIGH
A new report from the research arm of the
U.S. Education Department shows that the
nationwide high school graduation rate hit
a record high of 78.2 percent for the 20092010 school year. “This is the highest
estimated rate of on-time graduation,” said
Jack Buckley, who directs the Education Department’s National Center for Education
