EMERGENCY URGENT ROUTINE
• Blood sugar below 70 or above 300
• Confusion, fainting, seizures
• Severe vomiting, unable to keep fluids down
• Difficulty breathing with high blood sugar
WHERE TO GO: CALL 911 OR GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY
• Severe shortness of breath at rest
• Chest pain with difficulty breathing
• Blue lips or fingernails
• Confusion or drowsiness with breathing problems
• Rescue inhaler not helping
WHERE TO GO: CALL 911 OR GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY
• Sudden severe shortness of breath
• Chest pain or pressure
• Coughing up pink, frothy sputum
• Fainting or severe dizziness
• Rapid or irregular heartbeat with symptoms

• Blood sugar 250-300 or 50-70
• Foot wound or infection
• Persistent high sugars(> 200) for 2 + days
• Unusual thirst, frequent urination
