NEXT UP AT KEYS PARK...
Next to travel to Keys Park in the Skrill North:
Guiseley
Following tonight’s game against Brackley,
Hednesford’s next visitors to Keys Park are the
Yorkshire side Guiseley on 12th April.
The game will kick off seven minutes late in
honour of the 96 football fans who died at
Hillsborough 25 years ago.
while Phil Denney and a Danny Harvey own
goal gave the visitors a point.
The Pitmen will have to keep an eye on Wayne
Brooksby, the former North Ferriby United
winger who joined the Lions in 2012 after an
impressive trial and has since been causing
trouble for the Nethermoor club.
Lead by manager Mark Bower, who played
over 200 for Bradford City, The Lions sit eight
in the league following a 3-3 draw away at
Oxford City on Saturday.
Guiseley were close to promotion last season
having finishing second behind title winners
Chester in the Conference North. However in
the play-offs they lost 3-1 on aggregate to
Halifax who went on to win the play-offs
against tonight’s visitors Brackley Town (1-0)
The last time The Pitmen faced The Lions was
earlier this season in Yorkshire at the end of
September, with the Pitmen winning 2-1 thanks
to goals from Neil Harvey and Elliott Durrell,
while Michael Burn scored the goal for the
hosts.
Guiseley’s last visit to Key Parks was in 2008 in
the Northern Premier League when the two
sides held out to draw 2-2
