CLUB AND LEAGUE NEWS SINCE WE WERE LAST HERE NEWS ROUND-UP COLLECTION Before and during today’s game there is a collection taking place for Hospital Radio Stafford/Cannock (HRS). Founded in 1972 this service is run completely by volunteers and is funded through donations and grants. HRS is part of a national network of Hospital Radio Stations and helps serve patients in Staffordshire, broadcasting 24 hours a day all year round. The station not only plays music, but also covers news and sports stories, with regular updates on The Pitmen’s progress for those who can’t make the matches. Please dig deep if you can to support HRS as it looks to provide this valuable service for future generations. The youngsters are being presented with the Walsall Junior Youth League Division Two trophy after romping to the title in spectacular fashion. The Under 14s, managed by Richard Atkinson, won all 14 of their league matches this season and finished an astonishing 15 points clear of their main rivals. Richard said that he would like to give a big shout out to the travelling supporters – ‘The Hednesford Harriers Hardcore’ – who have given their backing to his team all season.
