Good afternoon all
I would like to welcome Histon to Keys Park
today. It seems a long time ago when we
travelled there on a Tuesday night and came
away with the three points, but we are mindful
that even with ten men they were well on top at
times and today will be a very difficult game, as
they all are in this league.
Last week was very disappointing indeed. I did
not think Solihull were particularly good on the
day and they did not hurt us at all during the
majority of the game, but once again defensive
errors led to their goals. On the flip side, we did
not create enough problems for them, we went
far too much ‘route one’ and were very
predictable. We have also had the creativity of
the team taken out of us with Jamey, Elliott and
Kris Taylor all missing and it really showed on
Saturday. No team can cope with three or four
of their better players missing at once, but I still
felt we could and should have beaten a very
ordinary Solihull side.
I also have to say that I need ALL of the
supporters to stay with me and the team. I
heard some negativity around the place last
week and think we all need to remember how
far we have come and what we can still
achieve if we all work together. We have had
issues recently with players that have been out
of our hands, but as a squad we are very
determined to get a top five spot. I do not think
ANY of these players deserve anything but
support, so I would urge you all to get behind
them all today, they always give 110% for the
club, but are human and make mistakes, as
we all do.
It is very easy to criticise but not always easy
to come up with solutions.
Get behind the lads as always
ROB
I think we have got ourselves into a position
where we need to win six of our remaining
twelve games to get into the Play-Offs and that
is what we have targeted in the dressing room.
We would have taken mid table at the start of
the season, but it would be a massive shame
not to get into the Play-Offs after the start we
had, so we must really give our all over these
remaining few months.
