In many workplaces, situations arise
where people need to work at height.
It is essential that they have access to
and use safe and reliable equipment.
SKYLOTEC offers comprehensive fall protection solutions for branches
such as the wind energy sector.
S
KYLOTEC GmbH, a family-owned company from
Neuwied, Germany, is considered one of Europe’s
leading manufacturers of personal protective
equipment against falls from height and fall protection
systems in the sports and industry sectors. SKYLOTEC
employs around 500 staff and maintains production centres
in Germany, Slovenia and Hungary, in addition to branches
worldwide.
Tradition and progress are the cornerstones of SKYLOTEC’s
policy. Since manufacturing its first fall protection products
in 1948 - safety harnesses and dragging baskets for mining
and mine rescue - SKYLOTEC has consistently developed its
product range with new fall protection solutions. Today, the
company provides a comprehensive portfolio for a wide range
of users in industry and the trades; wind and energy supply,
telecommunications, logistics and the rescue sector, as well
as authorities and organisations responsible for safety and
security tasks.
At a time where fashion and trend for personal protective
equipment is increasingly influential, SKYLOTEC assumes a
pioneering role in the development of reliable and secure
protection products that can withstand severe and extreme
conditions whilst retaining great design and appearance.
SKYLOTEC products are characterised by their low weight
and ergonomic fit without violating applicable standards
and requirements for fall protection and PPE. This ensures
optimum freedom of movement for users.
While SKYLOTEC’s roots lie in the industrial environment,
the company feels equally at home in the world of sports
climbing and mountaineering. High standards for quality and
safety in the manufacturing of fall protection also apply to
the alpine sports sector, which has been a part of SKYLOTEC’s
business division since 2008.
For more than 70 years, SKYLOTEC’s guiding principle has
been quality, and this has resulted in many of the company’s
products over-fulfilling the latest occupational safety
standards. The company develops and produces its products
in Germany.
