H
ealth and safety is more imp ortant than ever, as the pace and world of our
work continuously evolves. Uniquely co-located alongside The Fire Safety
Event and The Facilities Event, The Health & Safety Event is dedicated to
the UK’s safety professionals across all sectors and is the perfect networking and
educational opportunity for anyone responsible for running a safe, healthy and
efficient workplace.
This year’s show promises to offer invaluable insight; a packed program and
extensive exhibition will bring visitors up to speed with the latest trends and
developments affecting the UK health and safety sector.
INDUSTRY LEADING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Educational content for The Health & Safety Event is curated by the show’s
Educational Partner, the British Safety Council, who is a trusted leader in health,
safety and environmental management. With a vision that no-one should be injured
or made ill at work, the British Safety Council has helped influence and shape health
and safety policy and law since 1957. The British Safety Council is therefore in a
powerful position to bring together some of the most influential and formidable
speakers in the health and safety arena to deliver an educational program that is
second-to-none.
Nine key sessions across the three days will address some of the most pressing
issues facing those working in the health and safety sector and provide vital CPD-
accredited education to all attendees. The full programme can be viewed at
www.healthandsafetyevents.co.uk/event-seminars.
As well as covering essential legal and regulatory updates, this year’s event
explores some of the biggest questions currently facing the profession.
ASKING BIG QUESTIONS
Many sessions in the programme will focus on asking big questions; with people
living and working for longer; with many tasks now being automated, with modern
communication technologies dissolving the work/home divide, with new materials like
nanotechnology (including tiny air-born waste products that can damage our health)
and new techniques are presenting new risks; and with more ‘flexible’ employee
contracts becoming commonplace. What does all of this mean for health and safety?
