F
ounded in 2014, Avidety specialise in the
refurbishment and construction of overhead and
underground electricity distribution networks.
Avidety are authorised to work at all distribution voltages;
maintaining the electricity infrastructure on behalf of the
UK Distribution Network Operators.
“Our engineers operate on a planned 5 day week - from
8am until 5pm - to support our customers and minimise
disruption. We also have teams on a 24-7 emergency call
out standby rota who handle emergency issues; storm
damage, for example. Our engineers are trained to a very
high standard, enabling them to understand the hazards
associated with working on overhead and underground
electricity supplies.”
Avidety currently employs over 60 people - 10 office
based staff and 50+ field engineers.
“Our dedicated team of engineers provide an end-to-end
service, from design through to delivery of all overhead
line projects and distribution voltages. Nevertheless, we

understand that our customers do not always require this
approach and as such, we tailor our offerings into stand-
alone services, such as:

Project management including line set up
Construction / refurbishment services (managed or
labour supply only)
Survey and inspection services
Commissioning and data management
“We also tailor our underground services to include
ground works and street works, cable installation up to
33kV, cable jointing, rising mains, service and cut-out
replacements, switchgear installation, link-box installation
and condition based inspections and solutions.”
Currently, Avidety operate within the South of the UK,
working on long term framework distribution contracts.
“We have the ambition and capability to extend
operatio ns throughout the UK; should the opportunity arise
- through new contracts, for example.”
