Ask Nery!
By: Nery Chavez
Our school is compacted with a
variety of students, teachers, and staff.
My aim is to help the few who are in
need of some advice, and answer any
questions and concerns they may
have. I am so happy to have been given this amazing opportunity to connect
with students on a personal level. That
is something that I will always hold
special. Thank you to all the students
and teachers who submitted questions. It gave me a great deal of pleasure seeing students line up to submit
questions to me. ME! Again thank you,
and I hope you all enjoy “Ask Nery”
just as much as I have.
Ask Nery: So lately, I’ve had a lot of
things going on in my life and it’s just
been chaotic . . . What do you suggest?
—Anonymous
Dear Anonymous: Although I may not
know exactly what is going on, the advice that I can give you is to stay optimistic. Things always seem hard, and
it sometimes feels like you’re in so

Ask Nery: Why can’t we have McDonalds at our School?

THE ANSWERS” but if it helps, I’ll sign
any petition that would get us closer to
having a McDonalds on campus.
Ask Nery: For next year, will we
have any other extracurricular activities?
—Anonymous
Dear Anonymous: I am sorry to
inform you that our school does not
have any future plans to incorporate
more extra-curricular activities. My
journey with Harmony is coming to
an end and so I may not be as concerned with extracurricular activities
as you, but I encourage you to get
involved, talk to administrators and
get the ball rolling for our school to
provide underclassmen with more
fun and rewarding clubs and activities.
Ask Nery: Is the SAT test hard? Do
you stress over it?
—Katherine
Dear Katherine: In my opinion the
SAT is a hard test and yes, as a
Junior, who is now taking the SAT, it
has been a great deal of stress in
my academic life, but it is all about
your mindset. If you put in the hard
work, study, and prepare yourself for
the SAT then it should be a piece of
cake. Harmony has been generous
enough to pr
