Barnett Racing Engines is the new title sponsor of the HSCC Historic Formula Ford championship for the 2024 season . A £ 100 discount off a rebuild will be granted to every competitor who enters five of the six events . In addition , a special discount card will give all registered competitors a 10 % discount across the season for engine work or parts .
This valued backing will make a significant contribution to running costs for a number of competitors and the HSCC ’ s Andy Dee-Crowne welcomes the development : “ It ’ s very gratifying to have a company like Barnett Racing Engines showing us support and I hope that this is an association that we can all build on throughout the year .
Josh Barnett from BRE said : “ We will be in the Historic FF1600 paddock at all six events with various engine parts from head gaskets and valve springs to distributors and coils , all available to purchase . And all competitors can purchase with 10 % off these components .
“ Whether you ’ re an existing BRE customer or not , we will also answer technical queries and help diagnose running problems during a race meeting . We will even be able to perform cylinder head refreshes at the circuit for Historic Formula Ford competitors at a discounted rate .”
“ The HSCC Historic Formula Ford Championship has consistently shown itself to be one of the strongest FF1600 series in the country , so we ’ re over the moon to be welcomed aboard as title sponsor . As an enthusiast-led business , we really want to give something back to the Formula Ford community with this range of prizes and discounts , especially at a time when inflation led price rises have hit the club motor sport sector hard .”
