Half a century back
We are very fortunate to have been granted access to the fabulous photo archive of Mike Dixon . This year , in each issue , we are re-visiting a 1971 race meeting with a gallery of images .
Our third gallery is from a 1600cc Formula 3 meeting at the fabulous Crystal Palace track in early August , with the Escort Mexico Challenge as a support race . Sadly , the south London parkland track closed for racing , on safety grounds , just over a year later .
