more environmentally friendly with 3D print technology. Designed for all stages of life, independent living and the in-home clinic will be key selling features. HP’s Population Health IT (PHIT) Solutions are already starting to deliver patient-friendly technologies that harness the power of IoT and address the needs of both patients and providers participating in remote care programs so that people can age well and live with independence. There will be millions of people participating in remote care in the home in the future. These homes will be equipped with smarter, endpoint devices, such as a refrigerator that suggests trying 2% instead of whole milk or a home office chair that also has tips for improving posture, and which preserve the privacy and security of the consumer and keep control in the hands of the end user. I anticipate HP being on the forefront in this type of tech design as we continue to introduce universally designed products that are interconnected and are integrated within other elements. This will create seamless experiences for users moving from one space to another, and multi-presence encounters through touchless controls, continuous displays, and borderless sound. 8 JOANNA POPPER Global Head of Virtual Reality & Location-Based Entertainment Los Angeles, California I’m very excited for the bioanalytics platform being built by the XR team that will unlock human potential, augment our lives, and enable our super powers. I’m looking forward to the XR road to smart glasses and the positive impact on our lives from this next wave of computing. Smart glasses will help us create unique customized environments that enable us to create, communicate, connect, learn, grow, and express ourselves in new ways and have the world’s information right in front of us, whenever we need it. I’m energized by all the representative voices that are integral in designing, developing, and driving this next wave of computing. My hope is that there will be widely accessible tools in place that democratize and incentivize the use of technology for good and disincentivize other uses. 34 HP Innovation Journal Issue 14 “The future will be less about any single technology or product and more about the breakthrough experiences that a combination of these technologies will enable.”
