And finally, they expect all of this to be
available and managed as so much else is
in their lives: as a service. This macro trend
is now spreading to PCs, mobility and retail
POS systems, and we are seeing tremendous
momentum in HP Device as a Service (DaaS)
(see page 14). HP enjoys a competitive ad-
vantage in the shift toward service-led sell-
ing, with the expertise and infrastructure we
have gained in our service-based print busi-
ness. And HP DaaS is so much more than just
leasing — we are freeing up our customers’ IT
teams to focus on job #1: innovation.
We believe curating great experiences for
our customers as they navigate disruption
and digital transformation will lead to the
deeper, more loyal, more service-led relation-
ships that are key to HP and partner growth
today and far into the future.
Print in the digital
path of life

A

es are transformed from analog to
digital, print holds a unique position
at the crossroads of work and life, blending
our digital and physical worlds. At HP, we see
expanding growth potential for ourselves and
our partners as print technologies meet the
needs of a nomadic workforce in secure and
sustainable ways. We believe in the power of
print to deliver the enduring desire for real,
authentic, personal connections. Printing can
do that in a way no virtual tool can.
Take the photos on your smartphone,
for example. Our phones are changing how
Enrique Lores, President of Imaging & Printing Business at HP, speaking at the HP Reinvent World Partner Forum 2017
we create memories: last year people took
over one trillion photos on their phones. But
the vast majority of the images live and die
in our timelines and texts — creating a con-
sumer product opportunity. The HP Sprocket
Portable Photo Printer reinvents the way
people preserve and interact with the mem-
ories they create using their smartphones
and other devices.
Work everywhere, print
anywhere
The workplace is more mobile than ever
before, and increasingly focused on collab-
oration. That’s why we developed HP Roam,
empowering people with the freedom to print
from anywhere. It works both as a mobile
app and PC cloud tool, allowing you to print
directly to the cloud, and retrieve the phys-
ical document from any printer. HP Roam

Of course, a more mobile, personalized,
and connected printing experience demands
increased cyber security. Breaches of confi-
dential data are a growing concern around
the globe, and many companies fail to realize
that their printers are often big vulnerabilities
to their IT systems.
As customers draw on apps and data
from a proliferating number of locations
and devices, they need security that pro-
tects them wherever they go. Devices that
are more interconnected and multipurpose
need to feature the robust security, threat
detection and security management tools
we build into PCs. HP Connection Inspector,
