Typical workday begins : I have a lot of 6:00 a . m . meetings . Meetings are shorter — more half-hour than hour meetings — and it ’ s pretty packed . I start looking at email around 4:00 p . m . |

Biggest surprise of remote working : People are more available . Before , they might be on planes or out at a business event . Now they are sitting at their computer and it ’ s easier to find them faster . |

Must-have technology : My HP Elite Dragonfly , made with more than 80 % recycled content in its mechanical parts , including ocean-bound plastic ; a separate keyboard that is 50 % recycled plastic ; and a reusable water bottle — every once in a while I ’ ll hold it up during a meeting as a reminder to everyone that the small things matter .
Downside of working from home : No personal interactions or hallway moments . Being in the Palo Alto office and walking the halls , you can get a lot done . It ’ s much more informal , but still very productive . I definitely miss that .
Upside of working from home : Between meetings and near the end of the day I ’ ll walk , bike ,

or run along the Embarcadero — sometimes to the Golden Gate Bridge ( if I have enough time ) or Fisherman ’ s Wharf ( if I have less time ). I try to make sure to get enough nature and outdoors since life is a little more sedentary than before .
How COVID impacts HP ’ s sustainability efforts : The fundamental principles and ambitions do not shift . We need to drive to a low-carbon and circular economy . We need to function in a way that respects human rights and continue to embed diversity and inclusion in everything we do .

What changes is what solutions are needed now . For example , with remote schooling , so many kids need access to computers and the internet . HP offers free software to update donated PC laptops through our HP Refresh program and partners with local organizations to distribute them .
