Greetings!
On behalf of our entire community, welcome to Howard Lake!
If you’ re passing through or visiting family, every year we play host to the Wright County Fair, Good Neighbor Days annual city celebration, seasonal flea markets, amateur baseball & fishing tournaments classic car shows and a weekly farmer’ s market. Between these scheduled events, we hope you take in and enjoy one of our many parks and grow ing trail network or simply meander through one of our downtown shops.
If you’ re looking for a place to call home, we’ re close enough to the Minneapolis metro for a quick commute while being far enough away to‘ get away.’ We have a wide variety of affordable and quality housing options with a strong public and private school system. Our local econ omy heavily supports the construction trades and is also tied back to our agricultural roots. We’ re home to a small medical device company, two large egg processing plants and the largest private employer in the county, Dura Supreme Cabinetry.
Over the last year we have spent a great deal of resources improving Lions Park, one of our two community parks. A substantial donation from Howard Lake / Maple Lake Lions made this possible. We have recently

The South Shore Events Center is located on the banks of Howard Lake, where residents take advantage of its recreational opportunities, such as boating, fishing, and swimming.
opened the doors to state of the art, library facility. Looking ahead to 2025, our focus will be on a series of infrastructure projects beginning with a $ 12 million street and utility reconstruction project as well as partnering with MNDOT on an accessibility and resurfacing project downtown. Finally, for the lake lovers, a scaled total lake treatment project is anticipated to commence in 2025.
We are proud of our community; we look forward to opportunities where we can show ourselves off to visitors and new residents.
